ALLISON A. BENNINGTON is a Partner and Chief Global Affairs Officer of ValueAct Capital. Ms. Bennington leads ValueAct Capital’s global strategy and engagement efforts with a diverse set of stakeholders, including corporate shareholders, government officials, business media, academia, and other thought leaders. Prior to her current role, Ms. Bennington was ValueAct Capital’s Chief Legal Officer. Ms. Bennington is a former director of Seitel, Inc. Prior to joining ValueAct Capital in May 2004, Ms. Bennington was the General Counsel of Atriax, Ltd., a joint venture of Deutsche Bank, J.P. Morgan Chase, Citibank and Reuters. Prior to joining Atriax, Ms. Bennington was a Managing Director of Robertson Stephens, a full-service investment bank, where she ran the Legal Department. Ms. Bennington was previously a Partner in the London office of Brobeck Hale and Dorr International. Ms. Bennington is a Member of the SEC’s Investor Advisory Committee and its Market Structure Subcommittee. She is on the Steering Committee of the Investor Stewardship Group, is a member of the Advisory Board of the Institute for Corporate Governance and Finance at NYU Law, and the Berkeley Center for Law, Business and Economics at the University of California Berkeley School of Law. She is a former member of the Advisory Board of the Program for Corporate Governance at Harvard Law School. Ms. Bennington has a B.A. from the University of California at Berkeley and a J.D. from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law.
