Drew W. Stroud

DREW W. STROUD is a Partner at ValueAct Capital where he leads business development and is Head of Communications for the firm globally.  Mr. Stroud has also been instrumental in advancing the firm’s ESG and impact efforts.  Prior to joining ValueAct Capital in April 2016, Mr. Stroud was a member of the investment team at Elliott Management where he focused on event driven investing, corporate distress, US/European risk arbitrage, and corporate activism.  Prior to that, Mr. Stroud spent over eight years as a portfolio manager and Vice President in the wealth management division at Morgan Stanley where he managed single name equity and credit portfolios for foundations, endowments and high net worth families.  He started his career as a trader at First New York where he focused on risk arbitrage.  Mr. Stroud serves on the Board of Directors of Family House, Inc. and Lone Mountain Children’s Center. He has a B.A. from Duke University and an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School.
