Jason B. Breeding

JASON B. BREEDING is General Counsel of ValueAct Capital.  Prior to joining ValueAct Capital in September 2016, Mr. Breeding was the Deputy General Counsel and Compliance Officer at Marcato Capital Management LP.  Prior to joining Marcato, Mr. Breeding was Senior Counsel in the Market Abuse Unit at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.  Mr. Breeding was previously an associate at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP, and before law school had worked as an auditor (inactive CPA license).  Mr. Breeding provides pro bono support to Bay Area non-profit organizations, particularly in the education and early education fields. He has a B.S. from the University of California, Berkeley and a J.D. from Columbia Law School.
